Permalinks

Learn how to create permanent URLs for the library's electronic resources: databases, journals, articles, ebooks, etc

Web of Science Permalinks

Web of Science provides article citations, but not the articles themselves.  You have several options to create a permalink:

 

1.  Email the citation so that another user has the details to repeat the search in Web of Science.

2.  Get the permalink from OneSearch

  • In the screen shot below, notice the orange colored Find It button.
  • Clicking on the Find It button directs you to the OneSearch catalog and from there, you can copy the OneSearch record permalink.
  • Copy

 

3.  Create a permalink from the DOI to get to the full text article:

    This URL DOI: 10.1016/j.jad.2018.07.057 needs to be converted to this:

                        http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.jad.2018.07.057

    Next, we need to add the library proxy to complete the permalink:

                       http://libaccess.sjlibrary.org/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.jad.2018.07.057
