Permalinks

Learn how to create permanent URLs for the library's electronic resources: databases, journals, articles, ebooks, etc

Passwords and Permalinks

Some databases and journals require a username and password for authorization instead of IP authentication.   The library's proxy URL is not used for password authorized databases and journals.

Here's the URL for the passwords webpage.  Once you log in with your ID and PIN, you will see a list of databases and journals that are not IP authenticated and thus, require a password to logon.  There are a few exceptions that do require a proxy URL and a username and password!  (SciFinder Scholar for example).

The easiest way to create a permalink for a database or journal that requires password authentication is to use the URL for the record in the catalog.

Example:

Use the permalink for the OneSearch record
