7. Litigation Holds

There may be times when a court order will supersede a retention schedule. This can happen in the case of a legal proceeding in which a judge orders the retention of particular records or the records in a particular office that pertain to a case. SJSU administration will notify campus constituents when such holds are in place. Each office or organization will need to put a plan in place to ensure compliance with such an order.
