Try to make the most of the catalog’s subject headings. The following subject headings will be useful in finding books or ebooks about your research topic on psychological issues.
To get started, just combine them to your topic term and do a keyword search in the Library Catalog.
For example, if your topic was something like FOSTER CARE, you might want to do a simple keyword search using foster care case studies in order to find books in our catalog that will cover specific cases of children in foster care.
Using OneSearch, you can find books, journal articles, dissertations/theses, and much more that are available through the SJSU library. You can also link to resources at the San Jose Public Library and all of the California State University libraries.
Can't find what you're looking for in our Catalog? If so, then use Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) to special order your request.
Interlibrary Loan (sometimes called document delivery) is a service whereby SJSU Library patrons can borrow books, videos, DVDs, sound recordings, microfilm, or receive electronic copies of articles in journals that are owned by another library.
