Don't Overlook the Print Version

 

  • While many journals are online, sometimes the print version is a better option. Print journals include advertisements and photographs or charts for analysis, or they may simply be easier to read.
  • You can find print journals at the King Library in the Lower Level. Use the catalog to find the location and call number for the journal you need. Current journal issues cannot be checked out, but photocopiers and scanners are available.
  • Many older journals are bound into hardcover volumes and look like books. Bound volumes cannot be checked out, but you can scan or photocopy the article(s) you need. Some older journal volumes are available only on microfilm.
  • Some journals are available both in print and online. Generally, the newest editions are online and the older editions are in print. Check the catalog to find out where to look:
