"It is better to learn how to know than to know"

                                                                                                                                                          - Dr Seuss

How tutoring works

The late-night tutoring service is free for all SJSU students. No appointments are required, hence students are attended to on a first-come, first-served, drop-in basis.

Students must sign in for 20-minute sessions with their SJSU credentials upon arrival. However, some sessions may exceed 20 minutes.

Group tutoring sessions are also available in a much larger space and are limited to 8 students at a time.

Location and Hours of Operation

Sessions are conducted on the second floor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, located to the right of the elevators. Opposite the tutoring area is a large study space where students are welcome to study before dropping in for tutoring. The service is open from Sunday through Wednesday (8:00 pm – 12:00 amexcept holidays, summer sessions and winter sessions.
