Making an Interlibrary Loan Request

Online students can use Interlibrary Loan to get articles not available through the King Library. (Interlibrary Loan can also be used to request print books.) This is a free service, and the articles will be sent to your Interlibrary Loan accounts as PDFs, and you will receive an email notifying you when they arrive.

First Time Users

First time users need to set up an account for Interlibrary Loan. You'll need an SJSU ID number to do this. Indicate your status as a Distance Student on this form to assure the correct borrowing privileges for your account - - like getting King Library materials mailed to you.

Requesting the Article

  1. From a library database - Click on the "Find It" button
  2. From Google Scholar - Use the library's Google Scholar search and click on the "Find It @ SJSU" or "Get It @ SJSU" link
  3. From OneSearch - Click on "Request through interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)"
  4. Manually - Choose the Article Request option in your Interlibrary Loan acount and fill in the information required in the fields marked with a red asterisk (*).
