Research Assistance via Email

My preferred method of communication is email (silke.higgins@sjsu.edu).
When emailing me for help with your research, please include the following:
* Your major
* Class you are taking (e.g. ANTH 190, HUM 100W, etc.)
* What type of project you need help with (paper, presentation, etc.)
* Your research question

Research Assistance at the Fourth Floor Reference Desk - SUSPENDED

During the semester, my reference desk / drop-in office hours are as follows:

  • Monday, 9am - 10am
  • Friday, 10-11am

In-Person Appointments - SUSPENDED

In-person appointments are primarily for students who have already begun to research their topics and have found research materials, but are now at a point where additional, specific help is needed.
When emailing me for an in-person appointment, please include the following:
* Your major
* Class you are taking (e.g. ANTH 190, HUM 100W, etc.)
* What type of project you need help with (paper, presentation, etc.)
* Research you have already conducted
* Which research materials you have already found
* Your specific research question
