CSU-Wide Library Assessment Toolkit

This Toolkit contains resources to help you with library assessment needs for the following 3 areas: Information Literacy, Library Collections, and Space Usage.

Purpose

Welcome to the CSU Libraries Assessment Toolkit! Its purpose is to support CSU librarians in the process of planning assessment activities both in general and in selected areas of library services such as collections. information literacy, and space. 

Charge

The CSU Council of Library Deans (COLD) has a standing committee called CAT (COLD Assessment Team) whose charge is to assist the libraries in the CSU system to do evidence-based, rigorous and data driven assessment. The Toolkit is the first place to start.   In addition, any librarian within the CSU who plans on doing assessment in their library is free to call upon the members of the committee for pointers or contacts. CAT is here to assist each CSU library do the most effective assessment possible.
