OneSearch is the name of our library catalog. A library catalog is an inventory of all items found in that library, either physically or electronically. The catalog also provides status information (e.g. if the material is checked out, etc.).
OneSearch uses Library of Congress Subject Headings to categorize books. Examples of subject headings for mathematics and statistics include:
Algebra Arithmetic Associative Law (Mathematics) Ausdehnungslehre |
Axioms Binary Systems (Mathematics) Biomathematics Business Mathematics |
Using subject headings as keywords is an excellent research method. To find subject headings specific to your interest, browse through the “Narrower Terms” of the Mathematics subject heading, or search the topic directly.
