Predatory Journals & Questionable Conferences

This guide will help you identify predatory journals and questionable conferences (Author: A. Megwalu; Contributor: G. Basu)

Library Resource to Verify a Journal's Legitimacy

SJSU Library subscribes to Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities in multiple disciplines. These directories list legitimate and predatory journals under two hyperlinked categories: Journalytics and Predatory Reports. Journalytics show legitimate journals. Predatory journals are listed under Predatory Reports. Please note: These directories do not offer an exhaustive list of predatory journals as they grow in number rather rapidly.
