New master’s theses are deposited in SJSU ScholarWorks at the end of each semester. Authors maintain the copyright of all works published in SJSU ScholarWorks.
Most theses in SJSU ScholarWorks can be viewed and downloaded by anyone.
Student authors have the option to limit access to their thesis to the SJSU community. In addition, student authors may delay or embargo the release of their thesis for up to five years from the date of submission. To select an embargo or to limit your thesis to the SJSU community, choose those options on the SJSU License Agreement form when you submit your thesis.

Graduate master’s projects other than theses may also be included in SJSU ScholarWorks with approval of an advising faculty member and a license agreement signed by the author. Speak to your project advisor about having your work added to SJSU ScholarWorks and have them email us to get the process started.
The research and creative work of SJSU students takes many forms, and SJSU ScholarWorks includes student work in a variety of formats. These include student-edited journals, collections that document the artistic output of SJSU students, and individual works of scholarship.
