OneSearch Permalinks

OneSearch:  SJSU Library’s new unified CSU-wide catalog, coming June 27th!

On June 27th, the SJSU Library, in partnership with the other 22 California State University campus libraries, is launching a new library catalog, OneSearch, that will allow you to explore books, media, articles, and more in one simple search - including the print and media collections of all 23 CSU libraries. This new discovery system brings all of the CSU's resources together for the first time in a seamless, user-friendly interface.

OneSearch includes CSU+, a new book-sharing system, through which students, faculty, and staff can request books and other items from all 23 CSU campus libraries and have them delivered to their home campus within 2-5 days. CSU+ will replace the current Link+ system, giving you access to over 29 million books across the entire CSU. And if CSU+ doesn't have what you're looking for, you can request it through SJSU's Interlibrary Loan service (ILLiad), which will be fully integrated into OneSearch.

Loan periods are also improved for SJSU Library users with OneSearch:

  • Undergrad students: 16 weeks from date of checkout, no renewals

  • Graduate students: 16 weeks from date of checkout, 5 renewals

  • Faculty & staff: 1 year from date of checkout, 10 renewals

SJSU students, faculty, and staff will no longer need a library card and PIN; your Tower card will function as your library card. All San José Public Library (SJPL) resources will remain available to SJSU users who have an SJPL library card. SJPL catalog results will be just one click away using the new OneSearch system.

Direct permalinks to library resources such as ebooks and articles will not change with the launch of OneSearch. Links to catalog records will need to be updated. Get more information on our permalinks page.
