The Student Technology Training Center has a lot of useful workshops scheduled throughout the year. Check out the full schedule here.
The SPSS workshops are on selected Wednesdays between 10 am and 11:30 am, on the 4th floor in the MLK Library.
Introduction to SPSS - March 11, 2020
Discover the main features of SPSS, learn to enter, save and import data in SPSS. Perform descriptive statistics and get familiar with reading SPSS Output.
T-Test and ANOVA - March 25, 2020
T-test helps us test our hypotheses about means. It determines whether there is a statistically significant difference between the means of two groups (Independent Samples T-test), between the means of the same sample at two different times (Paired Sample T-test), or between a mean of a group and a predicted value of that mean (One Sample T-test).
Chi Square and Contingency Tables - April 11, 2020
Contingency tables and the test of association - Chi Square - are great for displaying data of two variables in a matrix. One is in rows and one in columns. Chi Square is a statistical test that determines whether or not there is an association between the two variables.
Linear regression models the relationship between the dependent and independent (explanatory) variable or variables.
