1) Log in on our library website with your SJSU ID number and SJSUOne password to access our databases from anywhere off-campus.

2) Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request access to something we don't have in our library, like a book or journal article. You will need to set up an account the first time you use ILL.

You can search for articles related to a specific nursing theory or theorist by using the CINAHL Subject Headings search in the CINAHL database. Enter either the theory/model name or the theorist's last name in the search field. In Nursing Theory a Primary Source is:

• The original publication of a theory.
• Could be a book, journal article, essay, etc.
• Must be written by the theorist.

Whereas a Secondary Source is:

• Something about the theory written by someone else, i.e. not the theorist.
• Could be a book, journal article, essay, etc.
