Health Promotion Practice (HPP) is a bi-monthly, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing content relevant to public health professionals and the field. One of three journals of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), HPP focuses on health promotion and disease prevention programs across all levels of the social-ecological model. One of HPP’s strengths is its articles on program development, implementation, and evaluation, often written by practitioners for practitioners. The articles chosen for required and recommended readings represent models, theories, and priority populations that are relevant and timely to today’s field and issues in public health.
HPP’s Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Kathleen Roe, Professor of Public Health and former Chair of the Department of Health Science and Recreation. This Reading List was produced by MPH students Tracey Alquiza and Stephanie Puente as part of their graduate internship with Dr. Roe and HPP.
