Interprofessional Education and Research

A guide for finding the research tools within various fields of Education research

Interprofessional Education Research

Welcome to the  Interprofessional Education and Research Guide

Research within Education is as diverse as the field itself.  The resources you'll need to consult might change depending on your topic, or they might overlap.  For example, a research project on how a specific speech disorder affects a child at different developmental stages might have you consulting some of the medical resources for Communicative Disorders to learn about the disorder, and then use the resources for Child & Adolescent Development to learn about the child's growth and stages of development.

How to Use This Guide

First, you need to examine your topic and identify which areas of education might be the most relevant.  Then, use the navigation bars on the left side of this page to connect to the library guides for those areas.  Each guide has research resources for you to use.

When you are on a guide, look for a page called Articles & Databases.  That page will provide links to the different databases you'll want to search for research on your topic.  Also take time to review the guide for any tips or suggestions on how to carry out research within that area.

If you ever need more help, look for the Librarian's profile box.  You can find the email and contact information for the librarian who specializes in those particular resources.  We look forward to helping you.

How to Use the Library

Below you will find a series of short videos that will help you get started using all of the resources and tools available.  We cover everything from the library's OneSearch catalog to finding and searching for specific databases, and how to order items that aren't immediately available.
