3D Printing

PREPARING your file

We use ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) filament, which is an oil-based plastic.  This is a strong, sturdy material to print your request.

Maximum printing size: 152 x 152 x 203 mm (6 x 6 x 8 in). Layers must be at least 0.1 mm thick (0.020 in). We recommend you build your object in millimeters or convert to millimeters prior to submitting your request.

Software:  We suggest your download the free and easy to use Cura software to determine how long your file will take to print prior to requesting time.  https://www.lulzbot.com/content/downloads

Image Format and multiple parts: Export your model as a stereo lithography file, with an STL extension (.stl).

Colors: Black, Blue, Purple, Red, Silver, Yellow, Orange, Green, and White

Supports and Raft: Supporting structures are sometimes needed if the design includes a section that overhangs from the base.  Raft is another means of support for the 3d print object; it will be added to the design to help it adhere to the printer bed.

Submitting Your File

NOTE: Maximum sizes for a single print is 152 x 152 x 203 mm (6 x 6 x 8 in).  However, printing cannot exceed your booking time.  We have a combination of printing time slots you can choose from (2 hours, 3 hours and 5 hours)
