Ask your professor what style you should use for your papers and reference lists. Some prefer the style in a specific journal (Citation Managers have many of these styles available for their citation generators), and some prefer CSE.
Scientific Style and Format: The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers is the preferred citation style for many scientific disciplines. The 7th edition (2006) of the CSE Manual is the most current complete manual.
